Impact Rise Ventures have secured funding from The Ecosystem Fund, funded by Scottish Government, to take a cohort of Scottish Tech companies to SF Tech Week in October 2025.FAQ
Who is organising this trip?
- It's being organised by Impact Rise Ventures, a collaboration between Victoria Ross (ex SDI/Scottish Enterprise and Barry McDonald (ex-CodeBase)Is it fully funded?- The trip is part-funded and we can reimburse flights and hotel bookings up to £1250. Expenses are paid in arrears, post travel, upon receipt of invoices approximately 14 days after the end of the trip.What's the criteria for applying?For CEO/founders of high potential tech startups who have already raised a seed round and working towards a Seed+ or Series A. All sectors are considered. All applicants must have the relevant visas to be able to travel to the US.How long will it last?San Francisco Tech Week runs from Oct 6-12. We expect all participants to attend the organised sessions on 8th and 9th October and to be present as much as possible at SF Tech Week for the remainder of the week to maximise value.Will I get to pitch to investors?Part of the trip will involve a showcase event where CEO/founders will have the opportunity to pitch.How many companies are going?A maximum of 10 CEO/founders will be selected by a panel.How is it funded?The trip is funded through the 2025 Scottish Government Ecosystem Fund, administered by Inspirent.What else happens during Tech Week?As well as the Scotland showcase, we'll be highlighting what we think are the best events to attend. We will be working with a partner to deliver a breakfast session with local investors and coming together as a cohort for a few social events/dinners.
